If you have downloaded a program onto your computer but never paid attention to where on your computer you have saved that program, you may have a hard time checking if this program has really been downloaded or launching the program to use, particularly if no shortcut has been placed on your desktop.
We will show you three quick ways to check if a program has been installed onto your computer. We will assume you are using Microsoft’s Window 10 version 1903, but the information here may be relevant to other versions of Windows.

Checking if a program is installed in Windows 10
Here are ways you can check if a program is installed in Windows 10:
Look up on the Windows Search Bar
Using the Windows search bar is probably the quickest way to look up a program. All you need to do is to click the Windows start button or simply write the name of the program in the search bar on your taskbar. Then the program will pop up.

Open the C Drive
To open the C drive of your computer, you can click on the Start button on your taskbar and type “This PC” in the search bar:

Upon clicking the “This PC”, you will be directed to a window where you will find all your drives.

You need to double-click “Windows (C:)”, which is your C drive. The next window will be the folders in the C drive. If you are lucky, there might already be a folder for the program you are looking for.

Otherwise, you will need to search the “Program Files” folders. If you do not want to manually search the folders, you can use the search bar on the upper right corner of the same window, and your computer will search for the program:

Your program may be found before the search ends; if not, you can wait for the complete listing.

Visit Control Panel
To open Control Panel, you can look it up on the Windows search bar on your taskbar.

On the next window, you need to select “Programs”.

Next, you need to select “Programs and Features”:

In the next window, a list programs will appear. You can go through the list to find your program or you can look it up in the search bar at the upper right corner of the window.

How to Uninstall a Program in Windows 10
To uninstall a program in Windows 10, you can find a list of your programs through Control Panel. Then select the program from the list, and click “Uninstall” on top of the list of programs.
